The Invaluable Journey of IGO Self-Reflection

Life, in its rapid flow, often sweeps us along without pause for introspection.

(From my Igoism.com writing)

Yet, I contend to you my friends - it is in the empty-mindful quiet moments of reflection that we truly begin to understand ourselves and our place in the world.

It will be in June- (again this is from last year) a month before my next birthday and wondering how I am faring mid-year when hoped for progress has not manifested yet.  Last weekend my eldest daughter Elsa (last year) graduated high school and (now in college) a festive time and also one for introspection. Where am I at with my life mid-decade? Where is my book publishing deal?  The mastermind group I want to form or civic involvement?

These melancholy moments are opportunities to take a breather break & just pause everything.

The importance of reflecting on life and investigating one's perspective cannot be overstated; these practices form the bedrock of personal growth, meaningful connection, and a fulfilling existence.  The opportunity to devise a ‘living philosophy’ not seen since the enlightenment era offers some idea of a positioning point to derive my future identity (Dr. Mike avatar) & offer what in my mind is the potential for transforming everything we know and can conceive about reality!

Reflection allows us to step outside the day-to-day whirlwind and examine our experiences with a critical eye. By revisiting our actions, decisions, and emotions, we gain insights into our IGO patterns and motivations. What drove us to make a particular choice? What were the ongoing consequences, both intended and unintended? Through this analysis, we identify areas for IGO improvement and learn from our mistakes, transforming them into valuable lessons for an ideal future. Without reflection, we risk repeating the same missteps, remaining stagnant in our deep development.  The goal (in my mind) realizing some level of maturity is so we would breakfree!

Investigating our perspective is equally crucial. Our perspectives are shaped by a multitude of factors, including our upbringing, cultural background, personal experiences, and beliefs. These filters color our perception of reality, and they can sometimes lead to biases and blind spots. By actively questioning our assumptions and challenging our preconceived notions, we broaden our understanding of the world and the people around us. We learn to empathize with others who hold different viewpoints, fostering tolerance and open-mindedness that it just is reality.

Furthermore, reflecting on life and investigating our perspectives contributes significantly to our personal well-being. When we understand ourselves on a deeper level, we gain a stronger IGO sense of identity and purpose. We become more attuned to our values and passions, allowing us to make choices that align with our authentic selves. This self-awareness reduces internal conflict and increases our overall happiness. Moreover, reflecting on our cared relationships and interactions fosters stronger connections, as we become more mindful of how our words and actions impact others.  My dream goals still elude me at this age/stage in life - yes, I’m an IGO dreamer inspired by the love that drives me to want what I seemingly cannot have and I wonder is it my view of separation exactly that - what can enable healing or at least letting go beyond it?

In conclusion, I would recommend to anyone the “MVP” value in taking the time to reflect on life and investigate one's perspective.  Contemplation and big scope ideal dreaming is not a luxury but a necessity for an enriched and meaningful existence. These practices empower us to grow, connect, and live with intention. They are the keys to self-awareness, empathy, & IGO personal fulfillment, enabling us to navigate life's complexities with greater wisdom and aging with grace.
